Hi folks, Sunday was our last market of the year and despite the very mixed weather conditions it went really well. We had a great selection of arts and crafts, local food produce, Christmas gifts, home furnishings, well being goods and not forgetting the dog treats and dog training plus so much more.
At 11 o’clock we were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Tamworth Mr Richard Kingstone and his wife who visited the stalls and also had time to call into Lumber Jaxs Axe Throwing – it is reported he was rather good!
We had another special guest Santa doing his rounds and all the time being entertained by two of our regulars Helen Pearson singing Christmas songs accompanied by Kevin Goodall on the saxophone. We also had our Christmas trees for sale so there really was something for everyone this month.
This year has seen our market go from strength to strenght and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the small businesses who have supported us along with everyone who has attended our markets. We started these markets as we are passionate about supporting the smaller businesses and giving them a platform to showcase their talents and products.
There has also been money raised for various charities and good causes this year to include St Giles Hospice and Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. Broken Souls Rescue came along to our November and December markets. We have also been raising funds for charity through our monthly Hamper raffle.
We will be back again next year and the dates for our market in 2020 are:-
8th March, 12th April, 10th May, 14th June, 12th July,
9th August, 13th September, 11th October, 8th November and 13th December
It just leaves us to wish you all
A very Merry Christmas
and a
Happy Healthy and Prosperous
New Year
and we look forward to welcoming you back at Buzzards Valley in the New Year if not before
