Bringing Nature to life through all the senses. Follow our bird and bug trail and learn about our local wildlife and what you can do to help protect it by taking part in the Discovery challenge – simply collect a map and a Discovery Challenge sheet from the Artisan, Wine and Gift shop and explore our pollinators garden, sensory path and den building area set in 60 acres of woodland, vineyard and lakes. Once you have completed your Discovery Challenge sheet, return it to the Artisan, Wine and Gift Shop to enter their the competition to win a quarterly drawn family hamper.
We ask you to keep to the marked paths so we can protect nature’s home – follow the pink arrows along the route, keeping a look out for the sensory markers as you explore.
Our Nature Trail is free to visit and is open 7 days a week (1st April to 31st October) – 10am until 3pm – we have delayed the opening this year due to the unprecedented wet weather affecting our site and giving the ground chance to recover (please do not visit the Nature Trail before or after these times).
The Nature Trail is 1.5 miles long and is dog friendly but we ask you to keep your dog on a lead; bins are available next to the Artisan shop for any rubbish – Leave only footprints, take only memories.
Please note the trail has been kept as natural as possible in order to give nature an undisturbed home. We recommend you wear wellies or walking boots as it can get muddy and you will be walking on multiple different surfaces and there are steep inclines to the landscape.
Our Nature trail is for pedestrians only, we do not allow bikes on the Nature Trail. Due to the natural uneven surfaces and steep inclines of the Trail it is not suitable for mobility scooters, wheelchairs, mobility aids, pushchairs or prams.
You will pass three lakes as you walk the Nature Trail, please do not disturb those fishing, walking around the lakes is not part of the Nature trail.
